How do I add files and Google Sheets for the AI assistant to answer from?

Updated October 13, 2026

Upload a knowledge file

  1. Open Automation → AI → AI files (/panel/v2/ai/files).
  2. Click Upload file and pick the file. Accepted: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, CSV, JSON, XLS and XLSX, up to 50 MB.
  3. In Excel and CSV files, keep the column titles in the first row.

The file is attached to the assistant automatically. If it cannot be read, the upload is cancelled and a message tells you why.

Link a live spreadsheet (prices or stock that change)

  1. In Google Sheets click Share → General access → Anyone with the link → Viewer, and copy the link.
  2. Open the assistant page (Automation → AI → AI assistant) and scroll to the Live data for the assistant card.
  3. Click Add a data source, type the Name the assistant sees (for example: Price list), paste the link into File link and choose how often to check it (5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes).
  4. Click Add source, then in the column settings choose the search column and any columns the assistant must never mention.

A OneDrive or SharePoint link, a direct CSV or XLSX link, or an uploaded file also work. Limits: 5 sources, 20,000 rows per source, 10 MB per file.

What happens next?

The assistant reads the sheet whenever a question needs it and re-reads the link on the schedule you chose, so every edit in the sheet reaches its answers without uploading anything again.
