I started connecting on my phone and see "Continue on a computer". What now?

Meta's official signup page does not work on iPhone, iPad or Android, or inside the browser built into WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram. That is why you see Continue on a computer.
Steps
- Click Copy the link in the message and send it to yourself (by email, for example) to open it on a computer.
- Or sign in to the dashboard on the computer directly, open Channels → Channels and click Connect now on the WhatsApp card.
- Finish the official connection steps on the computer. Keep your phone nearby for the verification code.
No computer right now? You can start with linking by phone number from your phone and upgrade to the official connection later.
What happens next?
Once Meta's window is done on the computer, the connection finishes automatically and the WhatsApp card shows Connected (Official). After that you can follow your chats from your phone as usual.
