How do I connect officially and keep using the WhatsApp Business app?

If your number runs on the WhatsApp Business app today and you want to keep it on your phone, choose coexistence: the number works officially in LetsBot and in the app at the same time, without deleting the account.

Requirements

• The WhatsApp Business app (not regular WhatsApp), version 2.24.17 or newer.
• Your phone online and in your hand while you connect.

Steps

1. On a computer open Channels → Channels, click Connect now on the WhatsApp card, then the Official connection via Meta tab.
2. Answer Yes, it is in the WhatsApp Business app, then click Keep my WhatsApp Business app.
3. In Meta's window continue to the last screen and pick your existing app number. Never choose "Add a new number" or a +1 555 test number.
4. On your phone: open WhatsApp Business, tap "Connect to the Business Platform" and enter the code shown.

Important: if WhatsApp offers to migrate or disconnect the number from the app, do not accept.

What changes on your number

• Your past chats are copied into LetsBot during the first 24 hours (once per number).
• Linked devices (WhatsApp Web, desktop) are unlinked. You can link them again afterwards, except Windows and Wear OS.
• Turned off on the number: disappearing messages, view once, live location and broadcast lists.
• Groups and calls stay on the phone and do not reach LetsBot.
• Sending is limited to 20 messages per second.

What happens next?

The WhatsApp card shows "Connection mode: Coexistence" with the chat-copy progress. What you send from the phone appears in LetsBot, and the other way round. If you see an error, see Common connection errors and fixes.
